bevel edged paring chisel

I was browsing in an antique centre at the weekend and came across this rather nice bevel edged paring chisel with what appears to be a black lacquered handle by Ward.

Just as I got it.

I have now cleaned it up, hint of Alfie Shine.

Close up of the Ward mark. Notice the octagonal tang end.

An ultra fine thin blade (Sheffield made)

At the top end, where my thumb is it measures just under 3/32" at the shoulder.

At the bottom end where my thumb is, it measures just over 1/64", hows that for quality.

I had no change out of £5.
